During the 20th and 21st centuries, the world has undergone technical, scientific and technological turns. At the dawn of the fourth industrial revolution, disciplines have, today, all been potentially fusing thanks to these turns across the related professional fields. Consequently, traditional parliamentary and court reporting forms have been more and more merging with more recent professions like conference interpreting and TV captioning, mainly thanks to accessibility, which has been widening the scope of transparency in the digital era.
With the twofold aim of keeping track of this hybridisation phenomenon and of spreading the most significant experiences, IPRS and the Intersteno Scientific Committee are pleased to call for contributions at “DIAMESIC 5 - 5th Intersteno Conference on parliamentary and other professional reporting, captioning, and accessibility” to be held in Bordeaux on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October 2020.
The main topics of the Conference will revolve around the notions of reporting, captioning and accessibility, considered as one bigger discipline, with a special focus on the following:
This 2-day Conference has become an annual event, thanks to the increasing interest all disciplines of diamesic translation are raising among professionals, researchers, trainers, and experts in general around the globe. To celebrate this success, the conference will be followed by the traditional IPRS Social Club during which it will be possible to meet and greet speakers and participants, in a networking spirit.
Abstracts of approximately 1000 characters are welcome via email to email@example.com by 1st May 2020 mentioning "abstract Intersteno 2020" as the email object.
